It’s pretty easy to sit around and waste an entire afternoon watching YouTube videos. There are seriously some FUNNY ass videos out there. I also get some very funny emails, and yes sometimes the content is very  inappropriate, but given the state of the world I think a little crude humor is actually totally appropriate. So with that, I’m going to start posting my fav’s here on this site, cuz this is my site, and I think it’s a good idea. Also, for anyone who comes across a true knee-slapper send it my way - I’ll give you credit for finding it!!

First in my library is going to be one of my all time fav’s…

So, I need to start a food journal in order to see where or what unhealthy goodness I am eating. The affect is suppose to be two fold - if I force myself to report back regularly I will HOPEFULLY be more conscious of what I am eating and more disciplined (the embarrassment factor - if I know I have to report that I just scarfed down 5 pieces of pizza I may limit myself to two!) and second, if I can look at everything I have consumed for a month or so I will hopefully see a pattern and begin to make adjustments to eat more health’ily.

So yesterday’s intake:

B: String Cheese - 2 toast
S: 2 pieces of beef jerky
S: 1 cup of dry cheerios
L: 1 fair sized square of Lasagna, 2 pieces of bread
S: 1 sm personal grab bag of trail mix
D: 1 sm jamba juice ODM w/soy prot boost + 1 apple and 2 cups of dry cheerios
Drinks: ~80 oz H2O and 2 lg cups of chocolate soy milk

Check out this article about a trojan virus, so conveniently named iBotnet, that is “targeting” Mac computers:

http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/04/22/first.mac.botnet/index.html

There have been viruses that have “targeted” Macs for as long as there have been Mac computers. The problem is, such a small percentage of computer users are Mac users that the publicity that makes viruses so popular have gone largely unnoticed.  Not to mention, why spend the time creating a virus that is going to reak havoc or find some financial gain and then limit your  “audience aka victim pool” to the smallest group of computer users? This article clearly points out the financial benefit to targeting Mac users, gee, thanks for giving giving them the “reason” but I honestly think this article and the hoopla it is creating is intended to be a marketing ploy by Symantec, who make Norton Anti-Virus software and/or McAffee who also makes anti-virus software.

When you produce a product or service that is dependent on bad things happening to innocent unsuspecting people, you almost have to play a hippocrit’s roll. As much as you “care” about your customers computers’ safety, you really are hoping viruses continue to evolve - it’s job security. And hey, if you have one demographic locked down (PC users) and there is another group that is growing at an unprecidented rate, why not plant the “fear” seed to see if you can tap into a market that previously had no use for your services.

And while were at it, why not get into the business of CREATING the viruses…shoot that seems to be a great way to make sure your software is “ahead of the game.” But that’s all a conspiracy theory discussion for another time…Happy Mac’ing!!!

Boot Camp B. vs Boot Camp S.

Okay, let me explain the difference…Boot Camp B. (BCB) is the boot camp class I am taking at Bally’s on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. Boot Camp S. (BCS-not to be confused with college football’s BCS, which I despise and will likely rant about later…) is the boot camp class that Steve-O and I started on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Let me give a chronological breakdown of the two… I started BCB in January/February and have loved it. The group is great, and the trainer makes the class extremely difficult, but enjoyable.  BCS started in March as a way to increase the number of times I am working out per week, and to save $$ because i was seriously considering hiring a personal trainer to supplement the BCB classes.

BCB is MW at 5:30p and BCS is TTh at 6:00a. Obviously, the BCB class has more participants, but BCS is growing - I think were up to 5 total (including Steve-O and myself) which is fine, we can keep it personal and keep the intensity high. I’ll get into details at a later time…
